The 8270 is made of metals and alloys of hardness values equal to 2 through 9 on the Mohs hardness scale, so they can be easily ground to sharp points that will not break off. Set includes 8 points, streak plate for testing color, hardness plates (3.5 – 5.5), magnet for detecting magnetic rock, grindstone to keep points sharp, hardness tables, and instructions.
